With our experience and knowledge of the building industry we take the collaborative information from all the trades, plans, submittals and specifications and put it on paper in the form of coordinated and detailed plans that are a true representation of the buildings systems rather than a schematic representation.

STACY HEMINGER - Owner

Since 1990, Stacy has been involved with detailing, design and engineering of HVAC, process piping, mechanical piping, plumbing & electrical. With a strong background in CAD management and a team oriented focus, Stacy founded Drafters Ink in 1999. He diversified the business to encompass MEP coordination, contract drafting and architectural drafting and design while always keeping one thing in focus; building a team that works well together, takes pride in their work and enjoys what they do.

MIKE UNDERWOOD – Project Manager

Mike has been in the coordination business for over 10 years. Specializing in multi-story commercial buildings, Mike has served as the CAD coordination lead over the mechanical teams for many large projects. His focus is on maintaining a cooperative spirit among the mechanical trades and providing the building owner with a mechanical system that functions as it was intended. Mike holds an A.A.S. in Computer-Aided Drafting, and is proud to be a US Air Force Veteran.

BARRY THOMAS – MEP Designer

Trained in architecture, Barry spent his first 5 years in the business focusing on residential, commercial, and industrial design.  Later, as a sole proprietor, he obtained a wide variety of experience in all aspects of residential and commercial development.  His work in commercial tenant improvements included coordination and design of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.  This segued into a 13 year position as a lead engineering coordinator for a global semiconductor manufacturing company, responsible for major remodels and tool installation projects worth millions of dollars.  Coordinating all engineering disciplines and producing complete sets of working drawings for this high tech industry gave Barry the experience necessary to focus his efforts on MEP coordination and design.  Skilled in both 2D and 3D drafting, Barry's attention to detail and experience make him a valuable addition to the team.

ZACH HENKEL - Drafter

Zach has construction experience that enables him to visualize and better comprehend what he is drawing. He has a strong background in contract drafting for the semiconductor industry. While contract drafting on-site Zach has been providing the trades with accurate as-builts, floor plans for new tool installations, tool hook-up diagrams and facilities information. His construction experience has given him a desire to get complete and accurate information to the trades in a clear and concise format to eliminate questions in the field.

JEFF CHELGREN – Designer

Jeff has vast experience in construction documents and hydraulic calculating fire sprinkler software. Jeff's experience designing fire protection systems for commercial and residential projects makes him a major asset to the Drafters Ink team. Jeff has helped design, modify and ultimately launch a new product line of HDPE underground vaults. Additionally, he has built over 100 plus 3D models of entire product inventory of HDPE and concrete telecommunication vaults, irrigation vaults and collateral parts.
